Meeting the momentA story from the front desk
A skeptical start.
A useful conversation.
A caller began frustrated with AI, then stayed to ask questions and consider appointment options.

Not every caller is pleased to hear an AI receptionist. One conversation with Teri began with the caller saying so directly, before adding a small apology: nothing personal.
The caller continued. They asked about scheduling, and Teri checked availability and discussed options. The conversation became an exchange about what might work.
At the end, the caller decided to call back.

Our interpretation
What stayed with us.
We read this as continued engagement: the caller moved from expressing frustration to participating in the scheduling conversation. Their polite ending does not establish satisfaction or a change of opinion about AI.
Practice teams know that a difficult opening does not tell the whole story. Someone may be frustrated and still need help taking the next step.
What interested us here was the caller’s continued participation. There were questions to answer and options to consider. Keeping space for that exchange mattered, even when the caller was skeptical about AI.
We want Teri to make everyday questions easier to work through, with clear options and room for the caller to choose what happens next.
What still needed follow-through
No appointment was booked during the conversation, and follow-up remained unresolved. The caller said they would call back; we do not know whether they later booked.
Room for skepticism. Space for the next question.
